AHI FlexAir passengers depart for Cape Town, South Africa. Please check your luggage from your gateway city to your arrival city. Your claim checks should have the following airport code: CPT.

If you are on an AHI FlexAir flight transiting through Heathrow Airport, you will arrive at Heathrow today. Day rooms will be provided for AHI FlexAir passengers with layovers longer than four hours. You will not have access to your checked baggage. Please pack any necessary items in your carry-on bag.

Barry Checkoway

Barry Checkoway, PhD, is the Arthur Dunham Collegiate professor of social work and professor of urban planning, at the University of Michigan, where his research and teaching emphasize community organization, neighborhood development, multicultural planning, and participatory research.

At the University of Michigan, he directs the Graduate Program on Community Organization, the oldest and largest program of its kind, with special commitment to the role of the university in metropolitan Detroit.
His work includes partnerships with neighborhood groups, community gencies, and government programs in all areas of the United States; andin South America, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, with support from the World Health Organization, Ford Foundation, Kellogg Foundation and other institutions
He worked with the White House in launching AmeriCorps, then served as founding director of the Michigan Neighborhood AmeriCorps Program, of the Edward Ginsberg Center for Community Service and Learning, of the Michigan Youth and Community Program, and of the Youth Dialogues on Race and Ethnicity.
