Designed exclusively with the Alumni traveler in mind, we strongly recommend that you purchase one of our valuable plans in order to give you the extra peace of mind that will allow you to rest easy while you enjoy your trip.

Alumni Travel Protect Plans are designed to provide you with a comprehensive selection of benefits and services that will protect your vacation investment, and that will meet the needs of even the most exotic vacation.

Trip Cancellation
Will reimburse your non-refundable prepaid Trip payments/deposits, up to the amount insured, if cancellation occurs before your scheduled departure because of unforeseen circumstances covered in the plan, such as illness, injury, death, strike, and weather.
Trip Interruption
Will reimburse your non-refundable prepaid and unused Trip payments when your Trip is interrupted after departure, due to unforeseen circumstances covered in the plan. Coverage includes reimbursement for additional transportation expenses to join or rejoin the Trip, or to return home.
Trip Delay
If your Trip is delayed more than 12 hours due to covered reasons, you will be reimbursed for prepaid, unused non-refundable land and water accommodations and reasonable additional expenses, up to the maximum for the plan you selected. Covered reasons include delay of a common carrier (including inclement weather), lost or stolen passports, closed roadway or traffic accident.
Medical Expense
Will pay for reasonable and customary medical services and supplies of a physician or hospital as a result of a covered Injury or Sickness that occurs during your Trip, up to the plan maximum. Included are related medication expenses, therapeutic services, and emergency dental treatment performed during the Trip.
Emergency Evacuation & Repatriation of Remains
Will pay reasonable and customary expenses for necessary emergency medical evacuation required by a Physician, for a covered Injury or Sickness, to the nearest adequate medical facility or home if medically necessary, up to the maximum for the plan you selected. All evacuations require advance notification to On Call International.
Pre-Existing Medical Condition Exclusion Waiver
Means an illness, disease, or other condition during the sixty (60) day period immediately prior to the Effective Date for which You, a Traveling Companion, a Family Member booked to travel with You:

  1. exhibited symptoms that would have caused one to seek care or treatment; or
  2. received or received a recommendation for a test, examination, or medical treatment; or
  3. took or received a prescription for drugs or medicine.

Item 3 of this definition does not apply to a condition that is treated or controlled solely through the taking of prescription drugs or medicine and remains treated or controlled without any adjustment or change in the required prescription throughout the sixty (60) day period before the Effective Date.

The Pre-Existing Condition exclusion is waived if You (a) enroll in this Certificate at the time You pay the deposit required for Your Trip (or within twenty-one (21) days of the initial Trip deposit depending on the plan purchased); (b) purchase this Certificate for the full cost of Your Trip; and (c) are medically able to travel on the Effective Date.

Cancel for any reason - Optional (ENHANCED PLAN ONLY)
This optional upgrade for the Ultimate Plan will pay 70% of your prepaid non-refundable Trip payments/deposits if your Trip is cancelled for any reason not otherwise covered by the plan provided:

  1. Your premium payment is received for the Enhanced Plan within 30 days of when your initial Trip payments/deposit is received.
  2. You insure all prepaid Trip costs, including 100% of any subsequently booked Trip arrangements within 30 days of payment/confirmation of those additional arrangements.
  3. The Trip is canceled at least two (2) days prior to scheduled departure.
Alumni Travel Protect plans are underwritten by Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company and Affiliated Companies with a rating of A+ (Superior) by A.M. Best Company.
